National Forget-Me-Not Day

Today is National Forget-Me-Not Day. A day that reminds us of the sacrifices soldiers have made for our country. Forget-me-not Day was set up in 1921 when the government were unprepared for the number of returning soldiers that were wounded and required urgent attention. Very few services were available to provide care to the veterans and so a movement to raise money and deliver services to wounded soldiers began in 1921. Forget-Me-Not Day even has its own flower, the Forget-Me-Not.

If there’s someone you’d like to remember on your special day, why not have a gorgeous bouquet of Forget-Me-Nots. Here at FYW, we think it’s the perfect way to remember your loved ones.
