Choosing a colour scheme is an important part of your wedding, you want the colours surrounding you to really accentuate your dress and bouquet but there are so many colours to choose from? How do you go about choosing the right ones? Well don’t panic ladies … We’re here to help!
Start by choosing a variety of colours that work well together. Different colours accentuate different things such as your eyes, your dress and your bouquet and can make you feel like a million dollars. I’ve chosen a pastel colour scheme so you can see for yourself how beautiful these colours look together.
Let’s start with the dress … You’ll be surprised to know that there are actually many different shades of white such as cream, ivory, eggshell and vanilla so it is just as important that you choose the right shade for your skin tone. Stark white looks best on darker skin tones whilst ivory looks better on the more paler skin tones. But why stop at white. The dress featured above is actually a blush pink and it looks absolutely stunning no matter what your skin tone and it is in keeping with the stunning pastel theme.Flowers: It is important when choosing the bouquet that the colours work well together. Some of the most popular flowers used at weddings are the Hydrangea, Orchid, Peony, Gpsophila and Succulents.Wedding Decorations: These stunning chair sashes are a simple way to keep within the theme and they add that extra bit of elegance that every wedding needs. The Cake: I love the pastel colours incorporated into each tier of this wedding cake. What a centerpiece! The food: Why stop at the cake? There are plenty of ways to incorporate the colour scheme into your food and it makes for an interesting photo opportunity. This will soon be a talking point among your guests at the wedding breakfast. Additional Extra’s: The list is endless. You can incorporate colour into every aspect of the wedding.
